Short Story Michael Köhlmeier

I created a monthly Editorial Illustration for Servus Magazine where I illustrate fairy tale short stories written by Michael Köhlmeier. The idea is to identify key objects of the stories and piece them together in a way that makes the viewer curious about the story.

The story is about a former bear-king who travels to the sea and befriends a turtle-man. Together they eat dates from a tree and share stories. An intrigant stork tries to get the turtle-man to rip the bears heart out, but instead, the bear-king chokes the stork and puts it's heart inside a pumpkin for the turtle-man to cure his wife.
